Why this room exists

Their techs know the equipment. Nobody taught them how to sell it.

Most owners I meet work sixty hours a week and still watch good leads walk out the door.

So that is what we do at Grandhalla. We work the sales process line by line. We handle the objections that cost you jobs. You practice on your feet, in front of the room, until it belongs to you.

Who should be in the room

Owners, managers and the people at the kitchen table

Owners and managers

You want one sales process the whole company runs, not five versions of it.

Technicians and advisors

You lose jobs at the kitchen table and you want to stop losing them.

Bring your team

HVAC, plumbing and electrical. The objections you handle on Saturday are the ones your techs hear on Monday.

What happens at Grandhalla

You bring the calls you lost. Gene builds the weekend around them.

Grandhalla is participant-led. You bring the objections you hear and the numbers you want to move. Treat this agenda as the framework, not a timetable.

Arrive
Friday
November 6
  • Check in from 6:00 PM.
  • Meet Gene and the team over dinner at the house.
  • No sessions on Friday.
Day 1
Sales mastery
Saturday, November 7
  • Set your targets. You name what is costing you sales: missed opportunities, average ticket, conversion, objections, accountability. That list runs the weekend.
  • The psychology behind the sale. Why customers buy, why they stall, and how to help them decide without pressure.
  • Discovery. Better questions that surface pain, priorities and buying signals, so value lands before price.
  • Presenting options. Good, better, best. Packaging, upgrades and financing that lift the average ticket without discounting.
  • The objection workshop. You bring the scenarios from your own calls.
“Too expensive.”“I need to think about it.”“I need to talk to my spouse.”“I have other estimates.”“Fix what’s broken and nothing else.”“I can’t afford it.”“I found a better price.”
  • Hot seats. A sales situation, a technician who will not sell, a pricing question, a compensation plan. Gene works it live.
  • Dinner and the evening at the mansion.
Day 2
Implementation and growth
Sunday, November 8
  • Advanced conversations. Control the call, create urgency without pressure, handle difficult customers and price objections, close with confidence.
  • Call-by-call coaching. The questions a manager asks after every call, where the opportunity was lost, and how to coach without criticizing.
  • Leadership and sales culture. Accountability, expectations, measurement and motivation, so the training survives the trip home.
  • Real-world scenarios. Repairs, replacements, indoor air quality, memberships, multiple decision makers, multiple bids and skeptical customers.
  • Business hot seats. Performance, ticket, conversion, pricing, structure, compensation, recruiting, training and revenue.
  • Turning training into action. What to change first, what to take to the team, what to measure, and the habits to break.
  • Ask Gene anything, then dinner and the last evening at the house.
Depart
Monday
November 9
  • Breakfast and checkout by 10:00 AM.
The group at Grandhalla
Why we do this in a house

Twenty-eight people, one house.

You train, eat and argue about pricing with the same people for three days. The conversations at dinner fix things the sessions did not get to.

Nobody drives back to a hotel and forgets what they heard.

Your coach

Gene Slade

I spent 34 years in this trade, starting as a helper on my dad’s trucks.

I founded Lead Ninja to teach HVAC, plumbing and electrical companies how to sell without pressure. The class manuals my students train from are mine.

At Grandhalla you get me for two full days, not a stage and a microphone.
